Description

Nals Margreid's Sauvignon "Mantele" is a prime example of how a perfect harvest combined with expert winemaking can elevate grape quality to create a premium wine. The winery, led by passionate and dedicated staff, works with over 140 growers to cultivate 150 hectares of land from which the grapes are sourced. The winery's commitment to respecting nature and the land, honed over decades, along with a relentless pursuit of quality, ensures that their grapes are transformed into wines of unparalleled class and elegance that truly reflect their terroir. The Sauvignon "Mantele" is grown in the heart of Nals, in the Val d'Adige, near the Mantele area at an altitude of between 300 and 350 meters above sea level. The vineyards thrive in this location thanks to the combination of porphyry and limestone gravel soil and the ideal balance of warm days and cool nights. After aging for 5 months in steel, the Sauvignon "Mantele" develops a fresh and fruity bouquet with notes of citrus, elderflower and a subtle hint of pepper. The richness of the soil imparts a strong and distinct personality to the wine.

Intense straw yellow, with a beautiful depth of colour
Aroma
Notes of grass clippings and citrus, lemon peel, aromatic herbs
Flavor
Crisp in the mouth, taut, saline with a persistent finish

A great wine with a wonderful balance, slightly creamy, elegant, polished, complex and with a slightly salty finish. As if made as an accompaniment to food, e.g. with pasta with smoked salmon or with braised veal.

Nals Margreid Mantele Sauvignon Blanc is a rich and complex Sauvignon with flavors of sliced apple, mango and pineapple. Also mushrooms and flowers. Full-bodied and complex. Hints of new oak.
